Given that athlete safety is at the heart of what Makura Sport does, the mouthguard manufacturer joined 42 education-sector exhibitors at ‘The Schoolwear Show 2019’ in Birmingham, United Kingdom from October 13-15 to highlight the importance of incorporating the use of mouthguards in school sport around the country.
A recent Children’s Oral Health Survey of parents conducted in the U.S indicated a widespread lack of mouthguard use in sporting activities, thus putting youth at risk of serious injury.
The exhibition offered Makura Sport the opportunity to meet over 700 core stakeholders of the education industry face-to-face, and to inform them about the latest products, technology and innovations the company has to offer.
The visitors attended free seminars and discussed pricing options, helping them make informed decisions about student safety.
“Great venue and good to be able to discuss issues with suppliers as well as to learn about new lines and ideas for next year,” a visitor, said. “It’s the right time of year. We see our suppliers and then can get our back to school order to them before Christmas.”
The Schoolwear Show is owned by and operated by The Schoolwear Show Limited. The 2019 edition of the event was hosted at Cranmore Park Conference and Event Centre in Birmingham.
At Makura Sport, our mission is simple: to provide you with mouthguards that exceed expectations and make us the protection of choice for athletes around the world. Contact us today to learn more!
